Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley was formed in 1986 and is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat for Humanity, a faith-based organization that welcomes people of all beliefs to join in its mission, is committed to eliminating poverty housing throughout the world. Our mission is to transform families and strengthen communities by building decent, affordable housing for long-term home ownership. We envision Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley developing into a vibrant, growing producer of affordable housing.
It takes money, materials and people power to build homes. Donating to fund home construction makes sense. Financial contributions including cash, stocks, or securities, are warmly received either by telephone, mail, or through our website.
There are many ways to be involved: from working on a construction site, helping in the office, serving on a committee and helping to plan events.
In addition to helping people apply to own a home built by Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley, Family Services provides training and support to help owners after they move in.
Habitat homes are well built and exceed many building standards. We build with materials that are long lasting and easy to maintain. We strive to be innovative with Green Building Techniques.
